IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE WEARING THE APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR AND THAT YOU ARE NOT ON THE BOWLING APPROACH AREA WHILE IT IS NOT YOUR TURN TO BOWL.

Conditions of Entry to Bowl at Leisure Max. Failure to abide by these conditions of entry can and may result in patrons being requested to leave the Premises. Patrons must register at reception on arrival.

 

• All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over who must remain on the premises and supervise the child/ren at all times. This condition applies to children visiting the Premises for any reason including but not limited to general admittance, parties and events.

• Staff do not provide a supervisory function.

• Patrons should exercise care at all times in the use of the facilities at the Premises and should have respect for the safety and enjoyment of other patrons.

• Patrons must abide by all directions given by staff and failure to do so may result in removal from the Premises.

• Patrons must abide by all notices and safety signage in place at the Premises.

• Patrons acknowledge that all reasonable efforts have been made to provide a low risk environment at the Premises however children who attend the Premises will engage in physical activity and as such there is an inherent risk of injury.

• Patrons shall accept that no liability shall attach to the Premises for injury, damage or loss suffered to any person as a result of an accident or as a result of the actions of another patron.

• Patrons agree to waive all rights to make a claim in connection with any injury, damage or loss arising from the use of the Premises.

• Patrons agree to indemnify the Premises against all claims made by any person in respect of injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of the actions of any other

• Patrons shall report any incidents or accidents to staff immediately on occurrence.

• Patrons shall accept that the Premises is not responsible for any loss or damage in respect of the personal belongings of patrons while they are in attendance at the Premises.

• At the end of each session, patrons must leave the premises in a timely manner.

• Responsible adults agree to sign this waiver and acknowledgement of the conditions of entry to the Premises on behalf of the children for whom they have accepted responsibility while on the Premises.

• Patrons agree to the retention of this waiver by the Premises for a period of four years from the date of same. I have understood the Conditions of Entry to the Premises and have explained same to the child/ren for whom I am responsible. I agree that I and the child/ren for whom I am responsible will abide by and are bound by all conditions of entry as set out above.

ALL ACTIVITIES ARE AGED 8YRS +, ZORBING 12YRS+.

Please note that all those participating in a Zorbing Ball, Bungee Run, Laser Tag, Goggle Soccer, & Gladiator, Climbing Wall, Pixel Floor, Foot Bowl sumo do so at their own risk.

HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE

These activities involve physical exertion and, in some cases, direct physical contact. By participating, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved.

People with the following should not participate in any of the above Activities

  • Those with existing heart, neck or back complaints or conditions
  • Those recovering from recent surgery or injury
  • Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Those who suffer with Asthma may be not be allowed participate, dependant on level of condition, or if they choose to they do so at their own risk
  • Expectant Mothers
  • However, if on occasion (children aged 11 with large group bookings) do use the Zorbs parents/guardians will be asked to sign a disclaimer. We take no responsibility for them.
  • Pixel Floor/Laser Tag – People who suffer from Epilepsy or who are affected by strobe lighting.
  • Laser Tag Radiation – It is important to note that it is absolutely necessary to avoid direct eye exposure and only aim for the rest of the body.*
  • Laser tag – It is recommended that long distance shooting is best, for optimising score and for health and safety.
  • Laser Tag is a safe game, although you may incur bruising from the general play.
  • Any recent broken bones, arm, limbs please cannot do these activities.
  • Please listen to the guidelines carefully on how to use all activities in a safe manner.
  • None of our equipment should be used in unauthorized or inappropriate manner.

ACTIVITY-SPECIFIC SAFETY GUIDELINES

  1. Zorbing (12yrs+)
    • Remove shoes, sharp objects, and loose jewellery before entering.
    • Straps must be worn correctly at all times and keep hands on handles.
    • Only one participant per Zorb.
    • Follow supervisor instructions for safe entry, rolling, and exit.
  2. Laser Tag (7yrs+)
    • Do not aim at the face or eyes.
    • No running, pushing, or physical contact.
    • Equipment must not be dropped, struck, or misused.
    • Keep two hands on the laser gun at all times.
    • Please also note: for safety ensure the gun is not near any mouth area as damage may occur to teeth. We accept no responsibility if this happens as the guns are heavy.
  3. Bungee Run (8yrs+)
    • Only one participant per lane at a time.
    • Harnesses must be worn securely.
    • No flips, dives, or unsafe manoeuvres.
    • Stop immediately if you feel discomfort or pain.
  4. Goggle Soccer (8yrs+)
    • Goggles must remain on throughout the activity.
    • No tackling, pushing, or intentional contact.
    • Play the ball at ground level only (no high kicks).
    • Stop immediately if goggles are removed or dislodged.
  5. Sumo Suits (8yrs+)
    • Suits and helmets must be worn at all times.
    • Must keep arms out and chin up to avoid injury.
    • Only push or bump within supervisor guidelines.
    • No unsafe throws or pile-ons.
  6. Archery (8yrs+)
    • Only load/fire arrows on supervisor’s signal.
    • Aim only at designated targets.
    • Never point a bow at another person.
    • Stay behind the shooting line until instructed.
  7. Foot Pool (8yrs+)
    • Only soft, controlled kicks allowed.
    • Shoes must be worn.
    • Balls must not be thrown or misused.
  8. PIXEL Floor (5yrs+)
    • No running, pushing, or sliding.
    • Not suitable for participants with epilepsy/light sensitivity.
    • Group play must be supervised at all times.
  9. Climbing Wall (8yrs+)
    • Harnesses and helmets must be worn.
    • Only staff may attach/remove safety equipment – no intrusion of area while this is being done.
    • Climbing without supervision is not permitted.
    • One climber per route at a time.
    • Descend slowly and safely when instructed.
  10. Wipe Out (4yrs+)
    • No shoes.
    • No kids under age 4 unless with supervision.
    • No jumping at exit.
    • No sitting in the ball pit.
    • No food, no drink.
    • Please wear socks.
  11. Obstacle Course (8yrs+)
    • Please wear socks.
    • No food, no drink.
    • No shoes.
    • Kids must be supervised at all times.
  12. Foot Bowl (8yrs+)
    • Only soft, controlled kicks are permitted.
    • Players must keep the ball on the ground at all times (no high kicks).
    • No sliding, tackling, pushing, or intentional physical contact.
    • Shoes must be worn during play.
    • Balls must not be thrown, struck with hands, or misused in any way.
    • Participants must stay within the designated play area and follow supervisor instructions at all times.
    • Stop immediately if you feel discomfort, dizziness, or any safety concern.
    • Participation in Foot Bowl is at your own risk.

General Rule: Participants must always follow staff instructions. Unsafe behaviour may result in removal without refund.

Conditions of Entry to Leisure Max. Failure to abide by these conditions of entry can and may result in patrons being requested to leave the Premises. Patrons must register at reception on arrival.

 

  • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, who must remain on the premises and supervise the children at all times. This condition applies to children visiting the Premises for any reason, including but not limited to general admittance, parties and events.
  • Staff do not provide a supervisory function.
  • Patrons should exercise care at all times in the use of the facilities at the Premises, and should have respect for the safety and enjoyment of other patrons.
  • Patrons must abide by all directions given by staff, and failure to do so may result in removal from the Premises.
  • Patrons must abide by all notices and safety signage in place at the Premises.
  • Patrons acknowledge that all reasonable efforts have been made to provide a low risk environment at the Premises, however children who attend the Premises will engage in physical activity and as such there is an inherent risk of injury.
  • Patrons shall accept that no liability shall attach to the Premises for injury, damage or loss suffered to any person as a result of an accident or as a result of the actions of another patron.
  • Patrons agree to waive all rights to make a claim in connection with any injury, damage or loss arising from the use of the Premises.
  • Patrons agree to indemnify the Premises against all claims made by any person in respect of injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of the actions of any other
  • Patrons shall report any incidents or accidents to staff immediately on occurrence.
  • Patrons shall accept that the Premises is not responsible for any loss or damage in respect of the personal belongings of patrons while they are in attendance at the Premises.
  • At the end of each session, patrons must leave the premises in a timely manner.
  • Responsible adults agree to sign this waiver and acknowledgement of the conditions of entry to the Premises on behalf of the children for whom they have accepted responsibility while on the Premises.
  • Patrons agree to the retention of this waiver by the Premises for a period of four years from the date of same. I have understood the Conditions of Entry to the Premises and have explained same to the child/ren for whom I am responsible. I agree that I and the children for whom I am responsible will abide by and are bound by all conditions of entry as set out above.

Zorbing/activities Risk Assessment

 

Although Zorbing Balls (Age 12+), is fun it should be remembered that it is a physical activity.  (Age 12 +)

THE CONDITIONS

Please note that all those participating in a Zorbing Ball do so at their own risk.

People with the following should not participate in Zorbing activity.

·       Those with existing heart, neck or back complaints or conditions

·       Those recovering from recent surgery or injury

·       Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs

·       Those who suffer with Asthma may be not be allowed participate, dependant on level of condition, or if they choose to they do so at their own risk

·       Expectant Mothers

·       An age limit of 12 plus applies to the Zorbing Activity and age 8 plus for other Activities.

·       However, if on occasion (children aged between 11 and 10, with large group bookings) do use the Zorbs parents/guardians will be asked to sign a disclaimer.

STAFF ARE REQUIRED TO DO THE FOLLOWING DEMO WITH THE SCHOOLS/GROUPS/PARTIES.

·       Always first enquire about the child Health Issues

·       Check for any broken bones/ fractures within the last 3-6 months prior to doing zorbing at Leisure Max.

·       Check if they are on medication.

·       Check that Parent/Guardian/Teacher sign off on all items with all activities attached.

·       Explain shoes have to be taken off in case they turn over and hit another zorb ball in the head of the person inside.

·       Explain no money to be in pocket, all jewellery has to be taken off also in case they choke or burst zorb while in it.

·       Explain how to hold the zorb, to slide into the straps like putting on a school bag and holding the two straps to the front of the zorbs.

·       Explain you’re the Supervisor and you will be with them at all times keeping social distance. If they turn over or they want to get out at any time make sure they do so in safe manner.

·       Explain not to bang too hard in to each other as the ball will bounce back from a bang.

·       Always have a watchful eye on the zorb at all times. Nobody else is allowed on the pitch while zorbing is being used.
